        SECULAR HUMANISM

this web page is no longer maintained click here for newer version 4.0

I either don’t believe in God (atheism), or don’t know if God exists (agnosticism). Without faith in any divine reason for human existence or absolute moral code, I aim to discover or otherwise insert meaning, notions of good and evil, and universal values into my life. While I am troubled by ignorance and chaos, I tolerantly accept human imperfections, and pursue knowledge relevant to the human condition. I champion both the capacity for self realization through reason, and responsible living through brotherhood. Although I don’t embrace a personal God, in asserting the dignity and worth of people, in helping them appreciate their place, I nonetheless maintain a hopeful and optimistic outlook on life.
