 VALUING FAMILY

this web page is no longer maintained click here for newer version 4.0

I believe that love and life are linked in a way most naturally expressed by marriage and family. I know that family is what’s most important in life. Not only is it where life’s great joys are to be found, it’s a big part of the “glue” that holds society together. Accordingly, I feel that government policy should strengthen the family -- in particular giving parents more childcare options, and the right to choose the kind of education their children receive. Personally, I value spending time with my family above all else. Of course, family brings obligations. I feel it’s the parents’ duty to sacrifice and do their best for their children, even at the expense of their own well being. Another duty: regardless of the qualities / faults of one’s parents, I feel one must love and respect them, and, if needed, help care for them as they age.
