1. Suppose the government’s failure to buy one large ranch (and inability to convince the family residing there to sell) is stalling some project that eventually will benefit the society as a whole (an interstate highway, electrical transmission line, a state park, or whatever). I would support government efforts to use eminent domain laws and force the affected landowner to sell the land.  

2. Laws limiting individual freedoms -- restricting speech, limiting firearms, requiring military service, prosecuting people for victimless crimes, putting environmental restrictions on private property use, etc-- should be opposed.

3. Taxing those who have, to provide food stamps or other welfare benefits for those who don’t have, is something that the government should not be doing. Instead faith based organizations, charities, and other non governmental organizations should be depended on to help those in need.

*4. Government supported affirmative action programs at colleges and universities contribute to the well being of the society.

5. Given my reputation for loving individual freedom and idealistically disdaining anything to do with government, I can imagine my being characterized as an anarchist.

*6. Electrical power utilities should be run mainly by the government rather than by private companies.

*7. I have favorable or extremely favorable personal feelings toward people who want to overthrow the government by revolution.

*8. I oppose stricter gun control laws.

*9. If a young man refuses to register for the military draft as the law requires, I would approve of punishing him.

10. I think that society would function surprisingly well without any government at all.

*11. I would prefer a smaller government with fewer services over a larger government with many services.

*12. Individuals should have the chance to enjoy complete sexual freedom without being restricted. 

*13. If I was asked to name the three most important aspects of “living the American dream” (for those outside America, substitute “living the good life”) from the following list: freedom to make your own choices, children having a good education, having a good education, good health, a secure retirement, a good paying job, having a family, owning a home, a job you like, lack of debts, having leisure time and taking vacations, “freedom to make your own choices” would be one of the three things I’d name.

*14. In identifying what should be this country's top priorities, I rank "Maintain order" as most important, ahead of such things as "Protect free speech", or "Control prices".

*15. The government should impose restrictions on the information and content that appears on the Internet.
