#9A RELIGIOUS FUNDAMENTALISM #9B APOCALYPTICISM
As an orthodox follower of the ___________ (insert name of religion) religion, I believe that human behavior should not deviate from that called for in my religion’s sacred text. This I see as the unerring word of God. I hold it to be literally true, and believe that it provides an absolute basis for morality. I believe that God can and has personally intervened in the lives of people in ways consistent with stories in this sacred text.   I believe that the end of the world, or some catastrophic event after which life won’t be the same, is near.  While my belief has a hopeful origin--God's victory (led by the return of a beloved religious leader / prophet) and the final triumph of good over evil-- I realize there are other possibilities.  The end of the world could come with the Devil's victory over God, some manmade global catastrophe—perhaps all out nuclear war or irreversible environmental disaster, or cosmic catastrophe in the form of events happening in space or objects arriving from there.
